Liturgy and Prayer
The liturgical and prayer life of the school is both varied and engaging for students and staff.
Daily Prayer and Liturgy
Morning prayer, led by form tutors, starts the day across the whole school and frequently both our Prayer, and Justice and Peace, Ambassadors contribute to the prayer resources.
Weekly Prayer and Liturgy
Each week staff and students have the opportunity to gather together in the school chapel, before school, in prayer. This quiet, prayerful and reflective time is led by both our Lay Chaplain and the students themselves.
All members of our school community have the opportunity to attend lunchtime Mass on Tuesdays and Thursdays, led by our Priest Chaplain Fr Philip Law.
The chapel is open everyday and is the venue for meetings of the Peace and Justice Group, Confirmation group and Lent 111 group.
The Liturgical Calendar
Throughout the Church year the school joins in worship, celebration and prayer.
The Saint John Henry Newman School Calendar
Significant occasions within the school calendar are opportunities to join together for celebration.
